Springfield Primary School is a good school with amazing pupils and staff. The Governing Body is looking to recruit an experienced and enthusiastic SEMH & Behaviour Learning Support Practitioner to work full time, Monday to Friday.
Role Overview
We are seeking an empathetic, patient, and resilient individual to support pupils across the school who face social, emotional, and/or behavioural challenges that hinder their learning. The successful candidate will work with pupils individually and in small groups, liaising with teachers, SENCo, outside agencies, support staff, and parents.
Candidate Requirements
* Practical experience working with EYFS/Primary children with SEMH needs.
* Ability to recognize and respond to the impact of adverse childhood experiences.
* Knowledge of trauma-informed practices and experience in managing challenging behaviors using CPI techniques.
* Extensive skills in trauma-informed practice to support pupils affected by trauma.
