The role includes:
Carrying a diverse caseload of children and young people with SEND needs.
Delivering specialist assessments, tailored interventions, and detailed written reports to inform EHCPs.
Acting as a trusted advisor when OT provision in EHCPs is challenged, with scope to lead input in appeals and tribunals.
Collaborating closely with families, schools, and professionals to ensure high-quality support.
Providing expert witness contributions in legal proceedings, strengthening the voice of OT in SEND services.
What you'll bring:
Proven experience in Children's OT, ideally within SEND and EHCP contexts.
Strong report-writing skills, with the ability to produce outcome-focused, evidence-based recommendations.
Knowledge of the SEND Code of Practice and local authority frameworks.
Confidence in handling complex cases and working in multi-agency settings.
HCPC registration and an enhanced DBS (we can support if not in place).
