WORKING ENVIRONMENT & PROJECTS
You will be joining a dynamic and well-resourced commercial team, working across a diverse range of projects that are technically challenging and commercially complex. The business operates at scale, and as a Senior QS you will have the opportunity to engage with projects at every stage of the lifecycle — from pre-contract through to final account — gaining broad and varied commercial experience.

You will work closely with project managers, site teams, subcontractors and clients on a daily basis, building strong working relationships and developing your expertise in a stimulating and fast-paced environment. ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES
* Track project deliverables and ensure commercial and administrative systems, budgets and cost control procedures are properly utilised throughout the project lifecycle
* Manage and support commercial team members to drive successful delivery across all projects, leading commercial planning and implementation
* Carry out thorough review of all tender documentation, identifying risks and commercial opportunities at the earliest stage
* Review and approve selected subcontractors and suppliers in line with project requirements and procurement strategy
* Ensure all contractual correspondence is handled correctly and in accordance with contract terms, including EOT notifications, claims and dispute documentation
* Continuously monitor project performance to ensure delivery remains on time and within budget, escalating issues where required
* Manage the definition of project scope, goals and deliverables in collaboration with the wider project team
* Report on actual costs versus estimates, identifying variances, underlying causes and corrective actions
* Prepare and present clear and accurate project progress reports for internal and client audiences
* Ensure subcontracts are properly prepared and administered, including compensation events, programme submissions and payment management
WHAT YOU NEED
* Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying, Construction Economics or equivalent — ideally SCSI or RICS accredited
* Minimum 6 years of post-graduate quantity surveying experience within main contracting or a comparable environment
* Strong working knowledge of standard forms of contract used in the Irish market, including RIAI, FIDIC and JCT
* Demonstrated ability to manage client relationships, identify repeat business opportunities and build long-term commercial partnerships
* Commercial acumen with a thorough understanding of the Irish construction market, competitor landscape and current pricing trends
* Strong negotiation skills with the ability to manage conflict and critically evaluate commercial documentation
* Excellent attention to detail and a methodical approach to cost management and reporting
