Join to apply for the Executive Assistant role at RICS

At RICS, we’re proud to be a global voice in land, real estate, construction, and infrastructure. Whether it’s supporting sustainable development, conserving heritage buildings, or advising on major infrastructure projects, our professionals help communities thrive.

Role purpose and key responsibilities

This is a pivotal role supporting both our Chief Markets Delivery Officer and Chief Digital & Information Officer, members of RICS’s Executive Management Team. The role is based in Birmingham, with a hybrid working pattern of three days in the office and two days remotely.

You’ll act as a trusted partner to two senior executives, helping them stay organised, prepared, and focused; providing day to day support and enabling the effective delivery of their priorities.

You’ll be part of a collaborative EA network and contribute to meaningful work during a period of exciting change, gaining exposure to senior-level decision-making and strategic delivery.

Your day to day will include:

* Managing diaries, global travel, meetings, and expenses with accuracy and foresight
* Coordinating international travel, including visas and time zone considerations
* Preparing agendas and papers for governance and leadership meetings
* Organising internal and external meetings, tracking follow-up actions
* Supporting logistics for events, away days, and delegation visits
* Handling operational tasks across HR records, purchase orders, contracts, and budgets
* Contributing to projects and programmes, delivering on time and within scope
* Producing clear, well presented documents and presentations aligned with brand standards
* Managing email correspondence, drafting responses, and escalating as needed
* Working collaboratively with EA colleagues to enhance ways of working

About you

You’re someone who thrives in a role where no two days are the same. You enjoy being the go-to person who keeps things running smoothly, anticipates needs before they arise, and brings calm to busy environments. You take pride in supporting senior leaders and understand the value of discretion, empathy, and clear communication.

You bring:

* Well developed organisational skills; able to manage multiple priorities effectively
* Experienced in supporting senior stakeholders with a proactive, solutions focused approach
* Discreet and thoughtful when handling sensitive or confidential information
* Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, Word)
* Comfortable using collaboration tools such as Microsoft Teams and SharePoint
* Knowledgeable about systems for purchase orders, expenses, and budget tracking
* Clear and accurate written communication with close attention to detail
* Collaborative and supportive of other EAs, contributing to shared ways of working
* Self reliant, adaptable, and composed under pressure

Rewards and benefits

We offer a comprehensive package of benefits to support your work life balance, health, financial security, and personal time.

For full time staff, the standard working week is 35 hours, and we support flexible working arrangements where possible.

Your health and wellbeing are important to us, with benefits including private medical insurance, an Employee Assistance Programme, Mental Health First Aiders, Wellbeing Champions, and optical care.
