Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of young people with social, emotional and mental health (SEMH) needs? We are seeking dedicated and resilient Teaching Assistants to join a supportive specialist school in the Dudley area.
You will play a vital role in helping pupils overcome barriers to learning, providing both 1:1 support and working with small groups to encourage positive behaviour, emotional development, and academic progress.
Key Responsibilities

Support pupils with SEMH needs to engage in learning and personal development
*
Work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to deliver tailored interventions
*
Manage behaviour positively and effectively, promoting a safe and nurturing environment
*
Assist with classroom activities, planning and preparation
*
Foster strong relationships built on trust, consistency, and empathy
Requirements
*
Experience working with children or young people with SEMH or challenging behaviour
*
Ability to remain calm under pressure and use de-escalation strategies confidently
*
Strong communication and teamwork skills
*
A positive, resilient, and patient attitude
*
(Desirable) Relevant training such as Team Teach or MAPA
