Receptionist | Customer Service, Administration | Private Hospital | Permanent Full-time | Southampton
Spire Southampton hospital are currently looking to recruit an experienced Receptionist to join the team. You will be a first point of contact at the hospital for patients, so will politely and courteously, register and direct patients, consultants and hospital teams as required, in a proactive, warm, professional and caring manner. This is a full-time permanent position.

Duties and Responsibilities
1. Welcoming, registering, including the accurate collection of credit card details and patient information.
2. Directing patients, consultants and hospital teams as required, to the hospital in a warm, professional and caring manner and in such a way as to provide confidence.
3. Compliance with NHS forms and processes.
4. Processing in-patient/out-patient charges.
5. Cash handling strictly within the parameters of the ‘Handling Cash Policy’.
6. Discharge of patients onto computer system ensuring accuracy of all information.
7. Manage the hospital switchboard in a professional and efficient manner, ensuring all calls or enquiries are responded to in a timely manner.
8. Undertake various clerical duties including checking of bed status reports, ordering and distribution of newspapers, including badges for visitors, booking taxis.
Who we're looking for
9. A personable individual with the ability to work on own initiative as well as part of a team
10. Good basic PC skills, including Word, Excel and Outlook
11. Excellent customer service skills
12. High degree of accuracy in administration
13. Great communication skills at all levels
14. Experience in a customer service environment
15. Experience with information management systems
16. Switchboard experience
Working Hours: Full-time 37.5 hours per week
