Salaried GP 4-5 sessions per week to include all day Monday and Tuesday and potential to cover a ward round at a local care home. Mayfield Surgery, Roehampton, Southwest London.
Mayfield Surgery is seeking an enthusiastic and committed Salaried GP (45 sessions per week) to join our friendly, forward-thinking team.

Main duties of the job
* Provide safe, evidence-based primary care: acute presentations, long-term condition reviews, health promotion and screening.
* Undertake a mix of face-to-face and telephone consultations; triage and same-day demand as part of the duty rota.
* Prescribe and deprescribe in line with local formulary; complete medicines reviews and safety-net appropriately.
* Request, interpret and act on investigations; review results, correspondence and clinical workflows promptly.
* Make referrals via appropriate pathways; coordinate care with community, secondary care and PCN services.
* Maintain accurate, coded clinical records; complete fit notes, reports and safeguarding documentation.
* Contribute to QOF, IIF/PCN DES and Enhanced Services delivery, including call/recall where required.
* Engage in CPD, appraisal and revalidation; comply with GMC, CQC, NHS and practice policies.
Care home ward round
* Conduct regular, structured ward rounds for allocated care home(s), including urgent reviews when needed as part of the care home team (1 ward round a week).
* Manage anticipatory care and end-of-life planning (including ReSPECT/DNACPR) and symptom control.
* Work MDT-style with care home staff, community nursing, AHPs, pharmacy and palliative teams; ensure clear safety-netting and escalation plans.
* Record contemporaneous notes, code activity, and contribute to EHCH reporting and outcomes.
Qualifications & Experience
Experience – Essential
* Broad, recent primary care experience managing acute and long-term conditions.
* Safe, guideline-based prescribing and medication review.
* Digital and telephone triage; duty/on-the-day demand.
* Results handling, clinical workflow and safe follow-up.
* Multidisciplinary working with community teams and secondary care.
* Accurate, coded clinical record-keeping.
* Experience – Desirable: EHCH work, structured ward rounds, frailty, ReSPECT/DNACPR; QOF and quality improvement experience.
Qualifications – Essential
* GMC registration with full licence to practise.
* Inclusion on the NHS England (National) Medical Performers List.
* MRCGP (or equivalent) and GP training programme completion.
* Evidence of annual appraisal and up-to-date revalidation status.
* Adult & Child Safeguarding Level 3 (current).
* Basic Life Support within last 12 months.
* Medical indemnity appropriate to scope of work.
* Qualifications – Desirable: ILS certificate; postgraduate diploma/certificate in relevant area; minor surgery or extended skills.
Additional
* Excellent clinical judgment, safety-netting and risk management.
* Clear, compassionate communication with patients, relatives and MDT.
* Efficient time management and ability to prioritise under pressure.
* Confident with GP systems e.g. EMIS Web, Accurx, Docman, eRS, pathology/radiology ordering.
* Commitment to confidentiality, information governance and equality of access.
