Tetra Tech RPS 2026 Graduate Scheme: Your Launchpad to a Consultancy Career Join our two-year Graduate Scheme and kickstart your career with hands-on experience, expert mentorship, and a tailored development plan. You’ll work on a variety of real-world projects, develop both technical and professional skills, and be encouraged to share your ideas and shape your future. The Role We’re seeking talented graduates to join our Nuclear Safety team in Warrington or West Cumbria. You’ll work alongside experienced nuclear safety consultants and contribute to the design and delivery of projects supporting the UK nuclear industry. You’ll be joining a collaborative team of nuclear safety professionals within a high-performing consultancy. With decades of experience and a reputation for technical excellence, our nuclear business spans across a range of projects covering new build and legacy challenges. Your Impact In This Position As a Graduate Nuclear Safety Consultant, you’ll play a key role in supporting the technical delivery of projects. You’ll gain hands-on experience across the full project lifecycle—from concept design to construction, operation and decommissioning and contribute to solutions that improve lives and shape the future energy requirements of our country. You’ll collaborate across disciplines, attend client meetings and site visits, and produce a range of nuclear safety assessments demonstrating the risk to site operators, the public and the environment is acceptable and compliant with regulatory expectations. With mentorship from more senior staff and access to a structured development programme, you’ll build the skills, confidence, and experience needed to progress toward chartership and beyond. MANDATORY Training & Qualification Requirements Have, or be on course for achieving, a relevant degree in one of the following subjects: Physics, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Nuclear Engineering or other STEM subject. What To Expect Mentorship & Support: Learn from experienced nuclear safety professionals and receive guidance from a dedicated technical mentor in your chosen discipline. Structured Learning: Benefit from a blend of formal training, project-based learning, and self-directed study. Personal Development: Build your consultancy skills through a mix of technical and interpersonal training, with regular feedback and reviews. Community: Start with a central induction alongside your graduate peers and become part of a collaborative, supportive network. Programme Highlights Central induction and ongoing support from your line manager and mentor. In-depth technical training in your core discipline, plus exposure to 15 technical and 8 interpersonal topics. Quarterly development reviews to track your progress. Opportunities to shadow senior colleagues and contribute to diverse projects. Your Pathway: You’ll be assigned a location, mentor, line manager, and a ‘home’ technical discipline based on your qualifications and business needs. If you wish to explore a different discipline at the end of the programme, we’ll consider this based on your interests and business requirements. Chartered Management Institute (CMI) Partnership As part of the scheme, you’ll have access to the CMI Foundation Chartered Manager pathway through flexible, online Bite Size programs. Choose from a range of topics—including Managing Change, Leading in a Digital Age, Conflict Resolution, Project Management, and Data-Driven Decision Making—to build your leadership and management skills. Application and Selection Process To apply for the Tetra Tech RPS 2026 Graduate Scheme, candidates must submit an up-to-date CV detailing their academic background, relevant experience, and motivation for joining the programme. All applications will be acknowledged upon receipt. Following initial screening, shortlisted candidates will be invited to complete an online assessment designed to evaluate key competencies and problem-solving skills relevant to consultancy work. Those who progress beyond this stage will be invited to attend a final assessment, which will take the form of either an in-person interview or an assessment centre, depending on location and discipline. The closing date for applications in this round is 30th November 2025. We encourage early submissions to ensure full consideration. Ready to build your expertise and shape your future?
