We are supporting a national not-for-profit organisation, established to improve commercial and procurement services across Public Sector organisations who are recruiting for a Commercial Lead (Estates) to drive high-profile procurement and contract management across the Estates Category including Construction, FM, Repair, Maintenance and Utilities. This is a dynamic, fully remote role offering variety, professional growth, and the chance to influence commercial strategy.
The Commercial Lead is responsible for delivering maximum value via commercial activities, influencing commercial strategy as a commercial and procurement expert, supporting procurement and contract management activities.
Responsibilities of the Commercial Lead:
-Prepare strategic plans, delivering and making recommendations for actions on all commercial/procurement activity
-Lead complex competitive tenders and supplier negotiations for the supply of goods and services
-Support key stakeholders creating strong and effective relationships
-Lead sourcing processes within required timeframes whilst achieving attractive commercial goals
-Ensure compliance with procurement regulations and social value policies
-Lead contract and supplier management programmes including supply chain improvement programmes
-Identify risks and understand risk management
-Sourcing, implementing and managing new contracts
Skills and experience of the Commercial Lead:
-Experienced in Commercial Management / Procurement Management
-Experience of Estates, Property, Construction and FM Procurement/Commercial Management
-Experience utilising JCT and NEC forms of contracts
-Strong stakeholder and relationship management skills
-Analytical, resilient, and collaborative mindset
-Working knowledge of Public Procurement Regulations (PA23)
-Proven success in leading full end-to-end procurement/commercial cycle
-Strong commercial and financial acumen
Package of the Commercial Lead:
Salary up to £54,000
Pension: 12% Employer / 6% Employee
