The RoleWe are seeking a fully qualified, electrically biased Critical Systems Technician with a proven background in business-critical environments such as banking or data centres. You will take a hands-on lead role in maintaining and operating electrical and mechanical systems that support essential building infrastructure.
Responsibilities will include:
Planned and reactive maintenance of electrical and mechanical critical systems and equipment
H/V switching and coordination of black building tests.
Maintenance of UPS (Static & Rotary), H/V transformers, backup generators, chillers, CRAC units, and inert gas fire suppression systems, VESDA, leak detection etc.
Providing leadership and technical support to the maintenance team.
Scheduling and allocating work, conducting toolbox talks, reviewing timesheets, and maintaining compliance with health and safety standards.
Producing site reports and ensuring the smooth running of all critical plant and systems.About YouThe ideal candidate will be a professional and well-presented engineer with:
City & Guilds or NVQ Level 1–3 in Electrical Installations
18th Edition Wiring Regulations certification
Current or previous H/V Switching qualification.
Experience in leading teams of engineers within a critical environment
You will demonstrate strong technical knowledge, a practical approach to maintenance, and the ability to work effectively under pressure.Benefits PackageThis position offers an excellent overall remuneration package, including:
Base salary: £48,700 per annum
