Contract Type: Full-time, Term-time only

A welcoming and inclusive primary school in the L7 area of Liverpool is seeking a Nursery Teaching Assistant to join their early years team. This role focuses on supporting children with EAL needs, helping them to build confidence in their language and communication skills.

About the Role:

1. Support nursery-aged children, particularly those with EAL, to access learning through play-based activities

2. Work closely with the class teacher and EAL coordinator to adapt resources and strategies

3. Help children develop social, emotional, and language skills in a nurturing environment

4. Foster an inclusive and engaging classroom atmosphere

5. Build strong relationships with children, staff, and families

The Ideal Candidate Will:

6. Have experience in an Early Years or Nursery setting

7. Be confident supporting children with EAL needs

8. Hold a relevant qualification (e.g. Level 2/3 in Supporting Teaching & Learning or Early Years Education)

9. Be patient, kind, and proactive in your approach

10. Hold an Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or be willing to apply for one)
