Secondary Maths Teacher - Prestwich Start Date: September 2026 Contract Type: Full-time, Permanent / Long-Term Salary: £168-£232 per day (dependent on experience) Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am - 4:00pm About the School We are working in partnership with a well-established and high-performing secondary school that is seeking to appoint a skilled and motivated Maths Teacher from September 2026. The Role As a Maths Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering engaging and effective lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, with potential opportunities to teach at Key Stage 5 depending on experience. You will play a vital role in helping students develop confidence, problem-solving skills, and a strong understanding of mathematical concepts. Key Responsibilities: Plan and deliver high-quality Maths lessons in line with the national curriculum Assess, monitor, and track student progress, using data to inform teaching and interventions Prepare pupils for GCSE examinations, supporting them to achieve strong outcomes Foster a structured and focused classroom environment with high expectations for behaviour and achievement Support students in developing numerical fluency, reasoning, and problem-solving skills Contribute to departmental planning and wider school initiatives The Ideal Candidate Will: Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent Have experience teaching Mathematics within a secondary school setting Demonstrate strong subject knowledge and a passion for the subject Possess effective classroom management and organisational skills Be committed to raising attainment and improving student outcomes Work collaboratively within a supportive and forward-thinking team Eligibility Requirements: Right to work in the UK Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to obtain one) Two professional references relating to working with childrenThis is an excellent opportunity for a dedicated Maths Teacher to join a school that values high standards, professional development, and academic success.
