*Job Description*: We are seeking a talented and passionate *Chef de Partie* to join our kitchen team at The Red Lion Restaurant. As a Chef de Partie, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our culinary department and maintaining the highest standards of food quality and presentation.
*Responsibilities:*
* Prepare and cook dishes according to the menu and recipes, ensuring consistency and adherence to our quality standards.
* Collaborate with the Head Chef and Sous Chef in menu planning, recipe development, and food cost control.
* Maintain a clean and organised work station, following all food safety and hygiene regulations.
* Assist in stock management, including inventory control, stock rotation, and ordering of ingredients and supplies.
* Monitor portion sizes and wastage to minimize food costs and maintain profitability.
* Uphold excellent food presentation, ensuring that all dishes are visually appealing and meet our high standards.
* Contribute to the development and refinement of new dishes, incorporating creativity and innovation into our menu offerings.
* Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure smooth service during busy periods and strive for excellent customer satisfaction.
*Requirements:*
* Proven experience as a Chef de Partie or similar role
* Strong knowledge of culinary techniques, flavour profiles, and food presentation.
* Proficient in various cooking methods and ability to work across different sections of the kitchen.
* Excellent time management and organisational skills
* Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high food quality standards.
* Ability to work well under pressure and in a fast-paced environment.
* Effective communication and teamwork skills to collaborate with kitchen staff and other team members.
* Food hygiene and safety certification is essential.
