New Directions Education are working with a brilliant Primary School on the Wirral who are looking to appoint a dedicated Full-Time Teaching Assistant to join their Year 5 class from September 2025 on a long-term basis.
This is a fantastic opportunity to work as part of a supportive Key Stage 2 team and make a real difference to pupils’ learning and development.
Role Responsibilities:
* Supporting the Year 5 class teacher with day-to-day classroom activities
* Working with small groups and individuals to boost learning and confidence
* Providing focused interventions in Maths, English and other curriculum areas
* Encouraging positive behaviour and building strong relationships with pupils
* Helping prepare resources and support classroom organisation
About You:
* Previous experience in Key Stage 2 (ideally in Year 5 or upper KS2)
* Confident supporting pupils both academically and emotionally
* Proactive, reliable, and passionate about supporting children’s learning
* Available full-time from September 2025

Teaching, Learning or Classroom Assistants are now vital resources for teachers and are heavily relied upon in schools.
We specialise in recruiting Teaching Assistants (TA) who are qualified in the following;
* NVQLevel 2 Teaching Assistant
* NVQ Level 3 Teaching Assistant
* Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA)
* CACHELevel 3 in Childcare & Education
* BTEC National Certificate in Childhood Studies (Nursery Nursing).
We’ll also consider experienced Learning Support Assistants (LSAs) who have previously held a job in a primary school or assisted a pupil in the role in a secondary school but do not hold any of the above qualifications.

* Provide support for individual students inside and outside the classroom to enable them to fully participate in activities
* Assist class teachers with maintaining student records
* Support students with emotional or behavioural problems and help develop their social skills.
