Property Paralegal - Legal 500 - Watford - ASAP Paralegal – Residential Property Legal 500 Law Firm Watford Hybrid working Minimum 1 years experience £27-32k This role is suited to a commercially minded Residential Property Paralegal invested in supporting the growth of the Residential Property department. The Residential Property Paralegal is expected to have enthusiasm for developing efficient systems, streamline processes, have a proactive approach in identifying client opportunities and delivering exceptional client service. Key role requirements: Supporting with drafting of documents. Legal research and keeping abreast of interesting Residential Property law news in the media for social media comment or firm articles. Organising third party introductions e.g. Counsel, HR support companies, partner speakers. Preparing chronologies and bundle of documents for advisory and contentious work including instructions to counsel. Managing administrative queries by email and telephone received internally and externally. Attending client meetings where required. Note taking and preparing first draft advice/outcome letters for review. Supporting with the growth and maintenance of a high quality Residential Property law precedent bank to enable standard documents to be prepared, adapted and produced rapidly. Opening new files including drafting of letters of engagement (client care letters), file information forms, cover emails to new clients and carrying out client ID requirements. Proficient management of payments on account, further payments required and preparing invoices for review. Operating the case management system to open files and assisting with ledger inquiries. Attending networking events and supporting the promotion of the Residential Property department. Identifying opportunities for speaker engagements, preparing agendas, power-point and research. Supporting with the preparation of training materials. Drafting and adapting policies having cross reference to client’s operational requirements. Preparing first reviews of settlement agreements and concluding matters as directed. Manage retainer agreement hours and produce monthly reports on time spent. Why Join?
