About the Role As a Class 1 Driver, you will play a key role in the safe, professional, and efficient movement of palletised freight across our network. Your responsibilities will include: Operate curtain side or flatbed trailers to collect and deliver customer products. Complete trunking of palletised freight between depots and pallet network hubs on planned routes. Ensure all freight is correctly loaded, secured, and restrained using straps, nets, and appropriate equipment in line with network standards. Be prepared to occasionally work with another team member in the vehicle, supporting training, familiarisation, or operational requirements. Carry out thorough daily vehicle safety checks-both pre-departure and end of shift-using your company device to maintain full compliance. Accurately manage all paperwork, scanning, and freight verification to support smooth hub and depot operations. Maintain clear and regular communication with the Transport Team, providing updates, reporting issues, and helping manage customer expectations. Represent the business professionally at customer sites, depots, and network hubs at all times. Participate in ongoing training and development, staying up to date with industry standards and best practices. Essential Skills and Qualifications Must hold a UK Class 1 CE Licence. Current DCPC Card and Digital Tachograph Driver Card. Experience of delivering loads directly to client sites is advantageous. Tanker experience is desirable but not essential as training will be given. Passionate about providing excellent customer service. Ability to work to deadlines. Confident, polite, and a team player.
