Production Operative - AMLocation : Newmarket Salary : £26,728 per annum Working Hours : 06:00am - 14:00pm (12 rotating shift pattern - occasional Saturdays worked) Job Type : Full time | PermanentMy client is looking for a reliable and motivated Production Operative to join their busy food manufacturing team in Newmarket, across all different departments of the warehouse. This is a hands-on role working within a fast-paced production environment where quality safety and teamwork are key.The Role You will be responsible for the production manufacture assembly and packing of food products in line with company standards procedures and product specifications. You will play an important part in ensuring targets are met while maintaining high standards of hygiene quality and safety.Key ResponsibilitiesCarry out all tasks in line with risk assessments and company proceduresWork safely at all times following health and safety guidelines and COSHH regulations and wearing required PPEMaintain high levels of personal hygiene and follow all food safety and housekeeping standardsEnsure equipment and work areas are cleaned to required standards before productionFollow clean as you go practices keeping your area tidy dry and hazard freeMaximise yield by assessing product quality and reducing waste where possibleWork as part of a team to achieve daily production targetsOperate machinery in line with training and skill levelWork flexibly across different production areas as requiredReport hazards defects and near misses to the Team LeaderEnsure all products and racks are correctly labelled for traceabilityComplete all paperwork accurately and on timeCarry out monitoring checks including temperature quality weight and labellingEscalate any issues affecting production and support resolutionsAssist with product changeovers and machine set upBe ready and on the line at the start of each shiftSupport continuous improvement across safety quality and efficiencyAbout YouExperience in food manufacturingGood understanding of hygiene food safety and health and safety standardsAble to work effectively as part of a teamBasic English language skillsReliable with a strong work ethic and attention to detailTPBN1_UKTJ
