We are currently recruiting for a System Optimisation Analyst to join our Water Systems Performance team. The successful candidate will work with the area’s System Optimisation Engineer to manage access to the clean water hydraulic systems.
You will contribute to developing and implementing a sustainable long-term strategy to maintain a calm network within regulatory requirements, ensuring high area reporting availability.
This is an exciting opportunity to join a team at the heart of Water Systems Performance. You will gain extensive skills and knowledge in operating our vast clean water hydraulic system, from source to tap.
What you will be doing as the System Optimisation Analyst
1. Monitor, investigate, and resolve pressure issues, complaints, and escalations, understanding areas and developing solutions.
2. Manage District Metered Area (DMA) and District Meter (DM) availability, explaining variations and implementing action plans.
3. Support the System Optimisation Engineer during emergency events to mitigate adverse effects on customers, water quality, and brand reputation.
4. Assist in risk assessments for work impacting the network, such as leak repairs, asset operation, and hydrant installation.
5. Ensure network operations follow Asset Management Procedures and monitor risk assessments.
6. Analyze long-term network issues like pressure loss, low flows, and resilience.
7. Support strategies for managing pressure, reservoir levels, and pumping regimes, highlighting non-compliance.
8. Evaluate operational data and resolve basic problems related to data integrity.
Base Location: Godalming - Guildford - GU7 1UP, Kemble Court - RG2 6AD
Working Pattern: 25.2 hours/week
What you should bring to the role
* Knowledge of GIS mapping software and hydraulic modelling is preferred but not mandatory.
* Strong communication and leadership skills for stakeholder engagement.
* Good analytical, problem-solving, negotiating skills, and a willingness to learn and work hard.
* Full driving license and own transport are desirable but not essential.
