HR Advisor
* Location: Hereford (on-site, full-time)
* Salary: £33,415

About the Role
We are seeking a proactive and professional HR Advisor to join our team. This is a dynamic opportunity to provide expert support and advice across a range of HR activities while contributing to the development and implementation of key HR policies and procedures.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead recruitment and selection processes, including advertising, attending job fairs, and conducting interviews
* Provide sound HR advice to departmental teams
* Manage employee lifecycle tasks such as onboarding, changes to contracts, and leaver processes
* Advise on and manage disciplinary and grievance matters
* Monitor and manage staff absence
* Support employee engagement initiatives, including the annual staff survey
* Oversee staff inductions and ensure compliance with legal requirements (e.g., right to work, young worker protection)
* Maintain and update job descriptions and manage company benefits
* Assist with training and development programmes
* Ensure compliance with maternity, paternity, and parental leave procedures
* Attend internal and external meetings, training, and represent the HR department as needed
* Promote and adhere to Health & Safety, data protection, and company policies
What We’re Looking For
* Previous experience in a generalist HR role
* Part CIPD qualified (or working towards)
* Up-to-date knowledge of employment law
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
* Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism and discretion
* Assertive, diplomatic, and proactive approach to problem-solving
