This post is ideal for a senior respiratory trainee with a keen interest in Sleep and Ventilation, but would also be suitable for someone who has completed Core Medical Training considering a career in Respiratory Medicine or hoping to gain more experience. It will provide the perfect platform to hone and develop skills in Sleep and Ventilation. You must hold full registration with the General Medical Council and we encourage applications from trainees currently holding a respiratory training number. MRCP or equivalent is essential. Detailed Job Description And Main Responsibilities Clinical Assessment and management of patients requiring acute NIV in Wrexham Maelor Hospital. Taking part in the assessment and initiation of patients commencing domiciliary NIV on Acton ward and in an outpatient setting. Undertake a clinical research/audit project over the 12 month period. Develop databases/ resources that allow robust data collection in relation to the investigation of sleep disordered breathing. Attendance at one sleep clinic per week, one sleep MDT per fortnight and one NIV clinic per fortnight. Attendance at UHA one day per fortnight in the Aintree Sleep clinic and the VIC. Education The post holder will have a regular schedule of teaching commitments and will actively contribute to the development and delivery of the Medical and Dental Education’s Undergraduate, Postgraduate, Physician Associate and Widening Access education programmes.
