The Vacancy

We're looking for a caring, enthusiastic individual to join our specialist Young Adult Service at Dougie Mac. Whether you have experience as a Support Worker, Youth Worker, SEN Teaching Assistant, Life Skills Mentor, or you have an interest in working with young adults – we'd love to hear from you.

You'll work with inspiring young adults with life-limiting and complex health needs, helping them develop independence, explore new experiences, and live with dignity, choice and opportunity.

About the Role

As a Care Support Worker, you'll support young adults aged in a vibrant, nurse-led service that blends clinical care with personal development and social support. You'll work as part of a supportive team – never in isolation – delivering holistic, person-centred care that truly matters.

* Working alongside families, nurses, therapists, and volunteers
* Supporting home or community visits when required

We'd love to hear from you if you:

* Are naturally caring, calm, and confident working with people who may communicate or engage in different ways
* Want to help others develop independence, build life skills, and enjoy new experiences
* Can work well as part of a team and bring a positive, flexible attitude
* Have a genuine interest in working with young adults

Why Join Dougie Mac?

At Dougie Mac, we believe in caring for our team as much as we do for the young adults and families we support. You'll be part of a passionate, collaborative team who live our CARE values every day – Compassion, Accountability, Respect and Excellence.

As a Dougie Mac employee, you'll also enjoy:

* 35 days annual leave, rising with length of service
* Hospice-paid Healthcare Cash Plan
* A competitive Pension Scheme
