General Work Times: 2am start time Working Hours: 5/6 days 45 hours including 30 minutes unpaid break General Responsibilities: Responsible for the timely delivery of chilled short shelf-life products (e.g., sandwiches, platters, wraps) to customers in Newry and within Northern Ireland. Perform daily inspections of the delivery vehicle before and after completing the route. Report any maintenance, repair issues, or part replacements, including tyres, to the supervisor. Load products at the depot/manufacturing facility and unload them at customer locations, ensuring all products are delivered in optimal condition. Maintain responsibility for the care and maintenance of the company delivery van. Keep accurate delivery logs and complete all required paperwork for each route. Adhere to Health & Safety regulations while in the warehouse, on the road, and at customers' premises, and ensure fitness to drive at all times. Delivery rounds will be allocated daily, and adherence to scheduled times is essential. Key Relationships: Work closely with the Transport Supervisor to ensure accurate and timely deliveries. Communicate with warehouse staff and customers to ensure smooth and efficient delivery operations. Experience & Requirements: Previous experience as a delivery driver is essential; food industry experience is preferred. A good understanding of the Newry area is required. A valid driving licence with no more than three points and the entitlement to drive up to a 3.5 tonne vehicle. Strong organisational skills and attention to detail. Ability to work independently while following company protocols.
