We provide design, maintenance, and project management for all services and comply with client and stakeholder requirements. Regular site visits to construction sites for substations, cables and overhead lines would be a feature of this role.
Here’s what you’ll do:
* The successful candidate will primarily be working on transmission assets in the UK, with occasional site visits to construction sites for substations, cables and overhead lines.
* Attend university on average 1 day per week for 4 years to gain a BEng (Hons) Engineering: Design & Manufacture course specialising in Electrical Engineering.
* Activities will include Power System Studies & Analysis, Substation & Network Design, Transmission & Distribution Systems Design, Equipment Selection & Integration.

Requirements
* Minimum of 5 National 5’s at grade C or above including Mathematics & English.
* A minimum of four SQA Highers at Grade BBBB including Maths achieved by the end of S6.
* Foundation Apprenticeships in a related discipline or recognition of vocational qualifications and experiential learning will be considered.
* Interest and desire to pursue a career within HV & Power related work.
* Hardworking, enthusiastic, creative, practical, and adaptable.
* Self‑motivated and organized.
* Proficient in English with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
* IT skills should include Microsoft Office.
* Ability to work in a team and independently with initiative & focus.
* Good numerical skills.
* Full driving license or willingness to travel on occasion.
* Permanent right to work in the UK (no visa sponsorship).
