Special Needs Teaching Assistant - Primary
Location: Bolton
Position: Full Time / Long Term
Pay: Competitive (dependent on experience)
We are currently recruiting a Special Needs Teaching Assistant to work in primary SEN settings. This role is ideal for an experienced and committed individual with a passion for supporting children with additional needs.
The Role:
* Supporting pupils with a range of SEN including ASD, ADHD, SEMH and learning difficulties
* Working on a 1:1 basis and in small groups
* Supporting pupils within a Primary SEN or PRU setting
* Assisting with behaviour management and emotional regulation
* Helping to create a safe, structured and nurturing learning environment
* Working closely with teachers and support staff
Requirements:
* Previous experience working with children with SEN
* Experience in Primary schools, SEN schools or PRUs essential
* Confident supporting challenging behaviour
* Calm, resilient and patient approach
* Relevant TA or care experience preferred
* Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willing to apply)
