Transport Planner
Overall purpose of the role:
· Support the Transport Management Team
· Provide excellent customer service to all internal and external customers
· Assist the Transport Management Team to ensure effective management and planning of drivers
· Work with customers to meet current and anticipated requirements
· Ensure effective communication to the whole driving team
· Liaising with workshop to ensure equipment inspected on time and defects rectified and maintained to a high standard
Administrative duties
· Dealing with emails/ incoming phone calls
· General admin duties including scanning and filing
· Dealing with driver queries
· Booking in deliveries at customer depots
· Customer service
The right candidate should have;
* Strong IT literacy skills including Microsoft packages
* Strong attention to detail and accuracy with the ability to spot and escalate potential problems
* Solid organisation skills, able to prioritise and work effectively to deadlines
* Experience in a fast-paced administrative role, preferably within a warehouse/ distribution/ logistics environment
* The ability to problem solve and make decisions quickly
* Great written and verbal communication skills
Hours of Work: Full time - hours to be discussed at interview.

Pay: From £29,000.00 per year
