Roles & Responsibilities
As an English Teacher, you will:
* Plan and deliver engaging lessons that align with the national curriculum for Key Stages 3 and 4
* Create a positive, inclusive classroom environment that promotes a love of reading, writing, and critical thinking
* Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback and differentiated support
* Collaborate with colleagues and contribute to department planning, meetings, and curriculum development
* Manage classroom behaviour effectively in line with school policies
* Support students' overall academic and personal development
* Participate in school life, including parents' evenings and extracurricular activities where applicable
What we re looking for:
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with an English specialism ECTs encouraged to apply
* Confidence in teaching English up to Key Stage 4
* Strong classroom management and engaging teaching style
* Adaptability, flexibility, and a positive attitude
