Job Description & Requirements
A Piping Engineer isresponsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of piping systems, and for ensuring the safety of their crew and the environment. Some of their responsibilities include:
* Planning and design: Before starting a project, a piping supervisor creates plans and specifications that account for safety.
* Installation and repair: Piping oversee the installation and repair of piping systems.
* Safety: Piping supervisors are responsible for ensuring the safety of their crew and the environment. They implement and enforce safety procedures and regulations.
* Coordination: Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to plan and schedule piping activities.
* Monitoring: Monitor work progress and productivity to ensure timely completion of tasks and milestones.
* Inspection: Conduct regular inspections of mechanical and piping installations to ensure compliance to design requirements.
* Communication: Communicate expectations clearly to their team.
* Training: May train employees on the latest product standards.
* Implement standardized work processes, procedures, manuals and systems and execute the systems of control for each activities in his area Organize, coordinate activities in accordance with schedules, monitor and review so as to complete the works on time and within budget Resolve difficulties and problems in discussion with contractor representatives and, if necessary, also with the Construction Superintendent Assist, as required, the Warehouse Organization with inspection of material and equipment received and the preventive maintenance of equipment stored
* Must know about Honing Machine Setting also
Skill Requirements:
* At least 5 years’ relevant working experience.
* Familiar with the local authority requirements.
* Strong in supervision of activities in oil & gas plant production/process plant.
* Good knowledge in construction safety and permit to work procedures including quality issues.
* Able to perform Engineering analysis and Engineering data accumulation will be an advantage.
