Based at Lomond Centre, Glenrothes you will report directly to the Community Use Lead Officer and will be responsible for managing the central resource base for the Kirkcaldy, Glenrothes, Levenmouth and North East Fife area, this will include ordering supplies, undertaking stock control, and ensuring safe storage of materials. In addition, you will ensure our facilities are supplied with stock and equipment as required. This may involve transporting equipment, furniture and supplies between facilities using service vehicles. It is essential that you hold a C1 driving licence. You will liaise with other Resource Base Workers across Fife to ensure the best use of resources to meet the demands of the service. As the area Resource Base Worker, you will be responsible for carrying out vehicle checks, reporting vehicle defects, arranging repairs, and completing associated paperwork. On occasions you may be required to support the Cluster Supervisor and help manage and supervise a team of caretaker/cleaners to ensure our buildings remain clean, operational, and compliant with Health & Safety regulations. The normal working week will involve working Monday-Friday (hours to be agreed). However, there may be a requirement to work evenings or weekends to suit business needs. You will receive an enhanced payment (0.33%) for any work after 8pm and/or weekend work. You may be one of our contacts in the event there is an emergency at one of our Community Centres. The Person We are looking for an enthusiastic and self-motivated individual with a good understanding of Health & Safety regulations and customer service principles. Ideally the candidate will have some working knowledge of fire safety regulations, risk assessments and building compliance requirements. In addition, we are looking for someone who can demonstrate good communication skills and be customer focussed, you should also be a well-organised individual and able to manage conflicting demands. The successful applicant must also: Be assertive, confident, and level headed when dealing with people at all levels. Have an ability to work to deadlines and under pressure, in a sometimes-challenging environment. Be flexible and able to work on their own initiative. Have excellent team working skills. Be methodical and well-organised. Qualifications and/or experience in management would be an advantage. Hold C1 driving licence. Possess a good level of IT skills and capable of working a variety of digital applications such as SharePoint, Outlook, Word, Excel, Forms.
