Position
The Senior Wellhead Technician is responsible for the execution of installation, testing and maintenance of Xmas Trees and associated equipment in a safe and effective manner both onshore and offshore.
Principal Accountabilities:
* Perform field services as required and as applicable for execution of WXT running and maintenance services and WXT database service
* Perform field services required during side-track and workover operations as required to facilitate Xmas tree and wellhead removal and replacement
* Maintain and repair Xmas Trees as per work instructions, client’s processes and procedures and manufacturer’s guidelines and record said maintenance. Update the DCR sheet with details of all maintenance carried out within three days of the time of the work.
* Provide a full report on any maintenance or repairs carried out with details of valve condition before and after maintenance
* Record details of spares used during maintenance
* Record the balance of spares to be retained at the Worksite are maintained within the maximum and minimum balances as agreed
* Record operational details to ensure efficient date input into the reporting system
* Responsible for the maintenance of all Xmas Trees and associated equipment
* Maintain all service tooling and test equipment
* Carry out removal, deployment and testing of Xmas Trees and associated equipment
* Participate in pre-job discussions to obtain a full understanding of operational objectives and ensure all expectations are met
* Accountable for the safe and efficient execution of wellhead systems installation, maintenance and repair
* Actively train junior members of staff and encourage them to keep competency portfolio up to date.
* Cooperate with all requests and requirements for all essential training including the completion of e-learning within the required timeframe.
* Be a customer focal point and always represent Unity professionally, promoting the Unity brand and products.
* Attend post job briefings to discuss the operational sequence, provide a comprehensive end of job paperwork package, following up and advising internal departments of lessons learned
* Perform other duties as and when required as part of Unity’s overall service quality commitment
* Adhere to all Unity policies and procedures.
* Health and Safety responsibilities for operations under their control.
Requirements
Job Knowledge and Experience:
* 5 years oilfield experience in a Xmas Tree maintenance and testing discipline
* Must have good communication skills
* Team player
* Ability to liaise with a multi-disciplined team.
* Thorough understanding of mechanical concepts and tooling.
* A willingness to adapt to client’s requirements and operating policies.
* Able to work independently and use initiative.
* Computer skills and understanding of IT systems and related software.
