Cast UK are supporting a well-established, multi-site logistics operation in their search for an experienced Fleet Manager.
The Role
This is a senior leadership position responsible for overseeing a large, nationally operating fleet within a 24/7 environment. The successful candidate will take full accountability for fleet compliance, engineering standards, operational performance and cost control across multiple locations.
You will lead and develop a team of engineering and fleet professionals, ensuring all legal, safety and regulatory standards are met, while driving continuous improvement across maintenance processes and vehicle utilisation.
Key Responsibilities
1. Lead, manage and develop a multi-site engineering and fleet team
2. Ensure full compliance with UK transport legislation and maintenance regulations
3. Oversee fleet performance, availability and utilisation
4. Manage budgets, supplier relationships and third-party contracts
5. Drive continuous improvement across maintenance systems and procedures
6. Lead audits, compliance reviews and regulatory inspections
7. Oversee procurement of vehicles, trailers and associated services
8. Investigate incidents, defects and compliance issues
About You
9. National CPC qualification (or equivalent)
10. Strong knowledge of UK transport legislation and regulatory compliance
11. Proven experience managing large-scale fleet operations
12. Background in engineering or HGV maintenance environments
13. Experience leading multi-site teams in a fast-paced logistics setting
14. Strong commercial awareness and budget management capability
15. Excellent leadership and stakeholder communication skills
