About The Role
We are looking for a Foundry Process Technician, with a solid background in a manufacturing and engineering environment. Computer literate, familiar with Microsoft Office and ERP systems.
Principle Role/Accountabilities:
* Familiarise yourself with FVC foundry’s current manufacturing processes and in-house database systems.
* Monitor and review current practises.
* Take ownership of current process controls, with a view to maximise quality.
* Maintain, review and update work instructions.
* Liaise with moulding team to maintain and review current sand/resin testing requirements.
* Collate data from R&D trials – present to technical and production team.
* Inspection and despatch of products between Billingham and Sheffield.
* Internal audits in line with certification requirements
* Work safely throughout all activities in line with Paralloy LTD safety standards and procedures.
* Monitor the calibration of machines and equipment in line with approved schedules
Advantageous but non-essential skills/experience:
* Previous manufacturing and factory experience.
* An adaptable and flexible attitude to work.
* Good communication skills – both written and verbal.
* A good understanding of health & safety, environmental issues and quality rules.
* Experience of working as part of a team.
* Foundry experience
Working hours
Working 37hrs per week. 07:30-16:00 Monday-Thursday and 07:30-12:30 Friday.
