You’ll be joining a respected and forward-looking housing provider responsible for maintaining over 35,000 homes across the Midlands. Their in-house Repairs & Maintenance team plays a crucial role in ensuring customers feel safe, supported and proud of their homes.This opportunity sits within their South Patch, covering Leicestershire, Coventry, Hinckley and Northampton, supporting both occupied and empty (void) properties.
Your new role
Salary: Up to £49,000 per annum +pany Vehicle & Fuel
Hours: 39 per week
Contract: Permanent
As an Electrician, you’ll be carrying out a wide range of electrical repairs, installations and safety checks to ensure customers’ homes meet the highest standards andply with the latest IET Wiring Regulations.
Your work will include:Repairs & Maintenance (Occupied and Void Homes)
1. Diagnosing and rectifying electrical faults in kitchens, bathrooms and general living areas.
2. Replacing accessories such as sockets, switches, extractor fans and lighting fittings.
3. Rewiring individual circuits or full-property rewires in empty homes.
4. Installing and maintaining smoke, heat and carbon monoxide alarms.
5. Upgrading consumer units/ distribution boards.
6. Electrical work associated with kitchens, bathrooms and wet rooms refurbishments.
7. Fault-finding on circuits, appliances and property-wide electrical systems.
8. Ensuring properties are safe and fullypliant following customer repair requests.
Inspection, Testing &pliance
9. Carrying out EICRs andpleting all associated certification.
10. Performing installation testing, minor works and periodic inspection reports.
11. Ensuring all work is delivered in line with 18th Edition regulations and organisational safety standards.
You’ll be supported with apany van, fuel card, tools, uniform, mobile phone and iPad to help you work efficiently and safely.
What you'll need to succeed
To be successful, you will be:
12. An experienced Electrician with a background in housing repairs or domestic electrical work.
13. Qualified to NVQ Level 3 in Electrotechnical Systems or equivalent ( City & Guilds 2360 Parts 1 & 2).
14. Certified in Inspection & Testing (C&G 2391/2394/2395).
15. Fully up to date with BS 7671 / 18th Edition requirements (C&G 2382).
16. Confident working independently in occupied homes, dealing with customers professionally and respectfully.
17. A full UK manual driving licence holder.
