Funding and Contracts Officer
Seaford Town Council is seeking a motivated, detail-oriented and proactive Funding and Contracts Officer to join our dedicated team.
This is a varied and rewarding role that plays a vital part in supporting the Council's work for the Seaford community. You will be responsible for sourcing and securing external funding opportunities, managing the Council's community grants programme, and supporting the effective administration of contracts and tender processes.
About the Role
The successful candidate will:
* Research and prepare compelling funding bids to secure grants and external funding for Council projects and assets.
* Coordinate and deliver the Council's annual discretionary grants scheme, ensuring funds support local priorities.
* Support contract management processes and ensure compliance with Council policies and legislation.
* Oversee tender processes to ensure fairness, transparency, and adherence to public procurement regulations.
* Monitor and record Community Infrastructure Levy (CIL) and S106 funds, ensuring appropriate allocation and reporting.
About You
You'll bring strong organisational and writing skills, with experience in funding, bid writing, or contract management, ideally within the public or not-for-profit sector. You will have excellent attention to detail, an analytical mindset, and the ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities.
We're looking for someone who is:
* Experienced in developing and managing funding applications or contracts.
* Highly organised and able to meet deadlines.
* Confident in liaising with internal teams, councillors, community groups, and external partners.
* Committed to delivering work to the highest standards of professionalism and integrity.
* Experience of local government, procurement procedures, or community grant schemes is desirable, but not essential as training and support will be provided.
