1. Developing and maintaining disaster recovery plans.
2. Continually developing the testing approach, adapting it to ensure it is fit for purpose for the different services in operation.
3. Being the point of contact for Technology in consideration of questions from regulators and further evolution of testing scenarios.
4. Conducting risk assessments and business impact analyses to identify critical systems and dependencies.
5. Coordinating and bring together IT and business units to ensure recovery strategies align with organisational objectives.
6. Planning and executing regular disaster recovery tests and simulations.
7. Maintaining documentation and ensure compliance with regulatory and industry standards.
8. Monitoring emerging risks and technologies to enhance recovery capabilities.
9. Providing training and awareness programs for staff and be SME on disaster recovery protocols for the business.
10. Working closely with the AWS Technical Resiliency manager to ensure that technical capability in the testing space is included in future plans and testing.
11. Acting as the lead coordinator during disaster recovery events.
Who we’re looking for:
We’re looking for an experienced Disaster Recovery Manager who will play a vital role in securing continuity and stability across the organisation’s technology landscape.
Essential Criteria:
12. Professional certifications such as CBCP (Certified Business Continuity Professional), DRII, or similar.
13. Experience with enterprise-level DR tools and platforms
14. Strong understanding of IT infrastructure, networking, and cloud environments and knowledge of disaster recovery frameworks, methodologies, and best practices.
15. Strong understanding of regulatory requirements and standards (, ISO 22301, NIST).
16. Excellent communication skills and ability to listen, understand and explain complex, highly technical information to non-technical colleagues using clear, simple language.
17. A strategic thinker with strong planning skills, adept in risk management, stakeholder engagement, and crisis decision-making, with an analytical and detail-oriented approach.
Desirable Criteria:
18. Degree in Information Technology, Business Continuity, or related field (or equivalent experience).
