Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Learning Support Assistant to support a pupil on a 1-to-1 basis, as well as working with small groups of pupils in the classroom setting. The post is for 5 days a week (15 hours), Monday to Friday, from 9am to 12pm. This position is a fixed-term contract ending on 31st August 2027.
We are a good school looking to appoint an enthusiastic and caring Learning Support Assistant with a "can-do" attitude, committed to raising standards. The successful candidate will work in partnership with class teachers and the SENCO to support learning in line with the National Curriculum.
Candidate Requirements
* Experience supporting children in a school setting
* Strong behaviour management skills
* Ability to support medical needs and willingness to handle intimate care
* Knowledge of strategies to engage pupils with significant needs
* Patience, calmness, and flexibility
* Commitment to high achievement
* Excellent organization and interpersonal skills
* Good education: Maths and English GCSE grades A-C or equivalent
* Good ICT knowledge
* Flexibility and a good sense of humor
* Ability to use initiative
* Willingness to undertake training and support individual needs
