Are you a skilled Vehicle Damage Assessor searching for an exciting opportunity with a rapidly growing automotive repair company? Steer Electric in Eastleigh is expanding, and we’re looking for a dedicated professional to join our team, helping us assess vehicle damage while providing exceptional customer service at our new location.
About the Role :
As a Vehicle Damage Assessor (VDA) at Steer Automotive Group, your expertise will be key in accurately assessing damaged vehicles and creating repair estimates. Using Audatex, you’ll calculate the costs and time required for repairs, ensuring that all work is carried out to the highest standards in line with BSI 10125 regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
13. Conduct detailed assessments of vehicle damage and create precise repair estimates.
14. Identify the correct repair methods, timescales, and costs to develop comprehensive repair plans.
15. Communicate with insurance companies, customers, and internal teams to ensure timely authorizations and resolve any issues quickly.
16. Deliver outstanding customer service and maintain strong relationships with both customers and insurance partners.
17. Keep thorough records of assessments, estimates, and repair progress.
18. Ensure a clean, organised workspace while adhering to health and safety guidelines.
About You:
You should have previous experience as a Vehicle Damage Assessor or a similar role in the automotive industry. Proficiency in using Audatex for assessments is essential, along with a deep understanding of vehicle repair techniques.

21. Attention to detail, ensuring that your repair assessments and estimates are precise and thorough.

23. Customer-focused with the ability to build lasting relationships with clients and colleagues.
24. Relevant qualifications, such as ATA VDA accreditation, will be a plus.
