Overview
An exciting trainee Advanced Clinical Practitioner (tACP) role in the Emergency Department at RUH, looking for experienced professionals from paramedic, nurse, pharmacist or physiotherapy backgrounds.
Responsibilities
* Develop competencies and experience to deliver expert, autonomous assessment, examination, treatment and diagnosis of undifferentiated and undiagnosed problems.
* Complete MSc in Advanced Practice and demonstrate strong development with the RCEM portfolio.
* Achieve band 8a status upon completion of education objectives.
* Lead departmental non‑clinical projects with protected non‑clinical time.
* Receive supervision from an FRCEM Consultant educational supervisor and support from the ACP team.
* Work toward credentialing with the Royal College of Emergency Medicine (RCEM) for both adult and paediatric curriculum.
* Collaborate with an ACP team led by a Consultant Nurse and embedded within a multidisciplinary emergency department team.
Qualifications
* Experience as a paramedic, nurse, pharmacist, or physiotherapy professional.
* Current MSc in Advanced Practice or willingness to complete one.
* Commitment to CEEM Credentialing with RCEM and to adult & paediatric practice.
* Strong academic credentials and professional experience in emergency care.
* Excellent communication, teamwork, and patient‑centred care skills.
* Evidence of leadership potential and project management experience.
