What you will be doing
as a Logistics Supervisor
1. Ensure the Logistics Scheduler’s plan, and allocate collection and delivery tasks to our Support Drivers with the appropriate skill set and their respective operating geography through Salesforce (system).
2. Ensure the Logistics Scheduler’s plan works preparation (SLG, cone-offs and letter drops) in time to the correct address and are set up ahead of the start of works.
3. Ensure that job details are fully compliant with all traffic management / streetworks legislation to avoid any fixed penalty notices/permit fines and that Support Drivers are trained & competent to do so.
4. Ensure that Support Drivers maintain a health and safety work environment in line with Thames Water’s Health & Safety commitment.
5. Ensure the Logistics Scheduler manages, allocates and prioritises the Support Drivers' work stack to meet priority jobs (2 hour/4 hour) that need to be completed.
6. Monitor progress of jobs by regular updates from the planning team, area managers and supervisors to identify if any additional materials, plant, or equipment are required.
7. Provide daily reports of resource utilisation and planned/ reactive jobs completed to maintain Inventory Field Operations service commitments.
8. Working with Thames Water Traffic Management Team, monitor collections to ensure no overruns and daily engagement with the planning team to ensure that permit end dates do not expire – any potential fines should be immediately escalated to supervisors.
9. Track Salesforce for work with forecasted completion date to plan site inspections, site clearance for support drivers.
10. Provide a weekly report on expected weekend work to ensure resources and materials are made available.
11. Manage & deliver a Support Driver resource plan that meets planned and reactive requirements 7 days a week/365.
Location – Kidlington, Oxfordshire.
Working Hours – 45 hours per week.

12. You will need to be organised and have a good understanding of work. management/allocation processes and systems.
13. You will have excellent attention to detail and scheduling/ planning skills.
14. You will need to be competent to work with business-critical systems such as Salesforce, SAP, Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and Word.
15. You will need to be experienced in the Utilities infrastructure industry.
16. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
17. Self-starter – ability to hit the ground running.
18. Strong interpersonal skills.
