ABOUT THE ROLE
Are you an experienced carer or senior carer with a passion to make a difference?
Can you lead a small team to deliver outstanding care to our residents, encouraging them to always do their best?
Our care teams make a real difference every day. Your professionalism, kindness, and compassion will be central to your work. Supporting the Home Manager and leading a team of carers, you'll be responsible for planning and implementing care that provides residents with security, dignity, and independence. You’ll review care plans regularly through assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation. You’ll balance supporting your team and ensuring residents' wellbeing.
We offer opportunities for career development and clinical training in a nurturing, engaging, and rewarding environment.
The Trust has been providing care for nearly a century and is the second-largest not-for-profit provider in the UK. We reinvest all profits into our residents, colleagues, and care homes. Benefits include a competitive salary, training, and development opportunities.
Additional benefits include:
* 30 days holiday (including Bank Holidays)
* A Company pension
* Free uniform
* Free DBS
* Higher pay rates at weekends
* Access to our Employee Assistance Programme
* Care Worker Charity membership for wellbeing and financial aid
* Refer a Friend scheme with rewards for successful recommendations
* Blue Light Card and “My Rewards” discounts on shopping, dining, and more
ABOUT YOU
You should have previous experience in a residential care setting with an NVQ Level 3 Diploma in Health & Social Care, or an NVQ Level 2 with willingness to study for Level 3. Supervisory experience like delegating tasks, supporting inductions, and conducting 1-to-1s is beneficial but not essential.
What matters most is you being a positive role model with excellent communication skills, the ability to motivate others, and confidence in taking charge. You should be proactive, able to resolve problems independently, and handle queries effectively.
