The Key Worker is responsible to the Manager, Deputy Manager and Room Leader. Duties will include: · Adhering to the Policies and Procedures of Peter Pan Pre-School & Nursery and being vigilant to safeguarding issues and acting on them immediately by reporting any concerns to the DSL. Ensuring confidentiality is maintained at all times. · Working as part of a team · Care and supervision of the children with regard to their physical, emotional and intellectual needs. · Offering all children equal opportunities with regard to their religious persuasion, racial origins, gender, disabilities, cultural or linguistic background, in particular challenging situations where racism or discrimination is displayed. · Keeping up to date development records and observations · Positive management of children’s behaviour · Preparation, care and cleanliness of the classrooms and equipment. · Providing good role model for Students, Bank Staff and Volunteers and helping new staff to fit into the nursery · Recording and monitoring accident, incidents and risk assessments · Supervision of meals and mealtimes, where appropriate, preparation of babies’ bottles · Laundry duties · Completion of training and training courses required for your CPD and arranged by the Manager appropriate to the needs of the setting and as part of the annual app...
