Capital Delivery Project Manager - Essex

I'm working with a council seeking an experienced Capital Delivery Project Manager to lead major and minor projects from feasibility to completion.

Key Responsibilities:

5. Project Management: Ensure timely and on-budget delivery of capital projects.
6. Contractor Liaison: Ensure project specifications and outcomes are met.
7. Financial Oversight: Manage budgets and provide financial reporting for projects ranging from £5m to £10m.
8. Health & Safety Compliance: Ensure all activities comply with health and safety legislation.
Skills and Experience Required:
9. Project Management Experience: Proven track record with construction and maintenance projects.
10. Technical Knowledge: Write technical specifications, conduct feasibility studies, manage contractors.
11. Public Sector Experience: Preferable but not essential.
12. Qualifications: Relevant project management qualifications.
13. Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal skills for stakeholder communication, reports, and briefings.
Main Duties Include:
14. Commissioning and managing capital and revenue projects.
15. Developing work-related specifications and project briefs.
16. Managing the procurement process, including tender documents.
17. Ensuring on-site works are effectively managed and documented.
18. Liaising with Planning and Building Control officials.
19. Preparing updates on project progress and contractor performance.
20. Managing health and safety compliance.
21. Leading on work priorities and targets set by the Corporate Manager - Assets & Regeneration.
