Offer description

Join an "Outstanding" SEN School and Make a Real Difference!

Are you a passionate, qualified SEND Teacher ready to embark on an ambitious journey with a leading specialist school? We are an Ofsted "Outstanding" SEN School (retained June 2024) dedicated to providing exceptional education for children and young adults aged 3-19 with a primary diagnosis of autism, most of whom also have additional learning, social, emotional, communication, health, and care needs.

Our ambitious approach focuses on delivering high-quality life outcomes for our learners through a person-centred curriculum and creative delivery. We believe in empowering our students to achieve their full potential and aspirations.

We have an exciting opportunity for a dedicated individual to join our team. Your day-to-day role will involve delivering creative and person-centred lessons to a small group of up to 8 learners in a pre-formal class. We welcome applications from both Primary and Secondary teachers, and Early Career Teachers (ECTs) are encouraged to apply.

Why Join Us?

We believe in supporting our staff as much as we support our learners. When you join our team, you'll benefit from:

* Term-time only role
* Free healthy breakfast available every day
* Opportunity to work with Autism/learning disability industry experts
* Autonomy in your role: Freedom to be creative, see your ideas come to life, and witness first-hand our learners' progress and achievements.
* Compassionate leadership: Mental health and wellbeing are at the core of everything we do.
* Continued professional development and training: Including a wide range of in-house and external courses.
* Annual staff recognition awards
* Eye test vouchers, season ticket loans, and a cycle-to-work scheme (with on-site bike shed).
* Employee Assistance Programme: To help you balance work, family, and personal life.
* Access to physiotherapy
* On-site parking

Your Role Will Include:

* Providing excellent delivery, teaching, and course leadership to learners across the school.
* Safeguarding and promoting the welfare of the children and young people we support.
* Working with pupils to ensure they receive services that deliver the outcomes specified in their individualised, person-centred plans.
* Preparing and delivering schemes of work, lesson plans, assignments, and assessments in line with departmental and awarding body requirements.
* Working collaboratively with allied health professionals as part of a trans-disciplinary team.

Our learners are mostly pre-verbal or use assistive communication systems. They follow different pathways depending on their needs and strengths (pre, semi, and formal). More details about our curriculum delivery can be found on our website.
