Duties And Responsibilities
The purpose of an OPG UK Subsea Supervisor is to learn and continue to develop leadership skills through supervising teams in offshore operations, and to build technical and operational skills with a view to progress through the career framework levels. They will lead and manage on their assigned scope, acting as the shift/sole point of contact for all matters relating to the job, and communicating with internal and external clients. They will develop positive relationships, overcome challenges, and focus on leading the team, developing team skills, and expanding their own knowledge.
Functions
Safety
* Ensure safety policies and procedures are understood and adhered to to create a safe working environment.
* Promote a strong HSE culture at all times.
* Participate in the company HSE Observation card, STOP and LSR Self Verification Programs.
* Use Stop Work Authority to halt a job if unsafe, to prevent accidents or incidents.
* Follow and enforce the 6 life-saving rules: energy isolation, working at heights, suspended loads, radiation, confined space, and pressure testing, and practice related fatality prevention behaviors.
Technical
* Supervise local Operations teams in delegating work for their assigned scopes.
* Lead the use of asset and maintenance management systems to log equipment maintenance, current asset locations, and certifications.
* Participate in Project and Engineering meetings relevant to the scope.
* Report job progress to the Superintendant/Operations Manager or Project Manager.
* Delegate work to the team; assign Subsea/Senior Subsea Technicians to day/night positions if required.
* Serve as the point of contact for the team you lead.
* Understand technical work instructions and engineering drawings, including general assembly, P&ID, electrical and hydraulic schematics, and assembly procedures.
* Disassemble, inspect, maintain, repair, and reassemble equipment; troubleshoot and replace defective parts.
* Supervise equipment operation within an assigned scope to safety, quality, and efficiency standards.
* Perform testing on equipment, including function testing, factory acceptance testing, and system integration testing.
* Load and unload equipment and work vans; maintain a clean work area.
* Support Continuous Improvement initiatives, close out Non-Conformances, manage cost of poor quality (COPQ), and manage the Change Management process (MOC).
* Assist with technical data for jobs (changes to drawings, schematics, OMMs) as required; provide product support and maintenance assistance.
* Interface with client representatives as needed; work as a positive, collaborative team supervisor, and work independently when required.
* Maintain credentials and complete required online training in Oceaneering’s Learning Management System (Sum Total).

* Supervise and mentor other Oceaneers across departments on operations, training, and personal development.
* Complete training competencies as assigned to grow education and experience.

Additional
* Run morning Operations toolbox talks.
* Review and close out action items/gaps from HSE programs (Observation cards, STOP, LSR Self Verification).
* The list of duties is not exclusive; undertake tasks as reasonably required within the scope of the job.
* Assist with other duties as required; undertake specific projects as instructed by Supervisors/Management.
Qualifications
Essential
* Team-focused with a positive attitude and willingness to learn and grow.
* Good work ethic, trustworthy, honest, high moral and ethical standards, and accountable.
* Good communication and being responsible and empathetic.
* Electrical/Hydraulic/Mechanical experience and qualifications suited to the position; experience in one or more technical disciplines (Electrical/Hydraulic/Mechanical).
* Leadership experience in leading a team offshore.
* Valid passport and any regional offshore work documents as appropriate.
Desirable
* Experience in subsea tooling and equipment; maintaining customer equipment.
* Willingness to work offshore and overseas for extended periods.
* Knowledge of Word and Excel.
