Overview Humly is currently recruiting a strong, experienced, and resilient Teaching Assistant to join a dynamic Year 6 team at a primary school in Preston. This full-time role is scheduled to commence in September 2026 for the full academic year. Year 6 is a critical stage in a child’s education, and this specific cohort requires a practitioner who can balance academic rigour with high-level pastoral support. The class includes pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEN) and individuals who demonstrate challenging behaviours. We are seeking a candidate who can hit the ground running, maintain firm boundaries, and provide the high-quality intervention needed to ensure these pupils reach their potential ahead of their transition to secondary school. Key Responsibilities Deliver high-quality learning experiences aligned with the school's curriculum and expectations. Build positive relationships with students to support their academic and personal development within the Primary setting. Maintain effective classroom management and a productive learning atmosphere. Follow all safeguarding and reporting protocols required by the school. Candidate Profile Relevant qualifications for a Teaching Assistant (e.g., QTS or equivalent). Strong communication and interpersonal skills suited to the Primary sector. Reliability, adaptability, and a genuine passion for education.
