Have you achieved an accredited level 3 (or equivalent) in the workforce of children and young people? If not, ALL candidates who complete their 6 months probationary period will be enrolled by Unified Care Services to obtain this qualification. Once this is completed, for the candidates who really want to advance their careers, we also offer enrolment onto level 5 courses! We like to invest in our staff so they can invest more into our young people’s lives.
As a Support Worker, you will provide personal care, emotional support, and practical assistance to individuals who require additional support due to learning difficulties and/or autism with behaviours that challenge. You must have excellent knowledge and understanding of our children and young adults' individual and unique needs and challenges. You must be passionate about safeguarding and promoting the welfare of individuals and committed to providing quality care and support.
Key responsibilities include:
* Supporting individuals with daily living activities.
* Helping with household tasks such as cooking, cleaning, and laundry.
* Providing companionship and social support
* Developing positive relationships
* Recording relevant information into the correct documentation
* Supporting and maintaining the successful implementation of support plans/other documentation around the service user
The ideal candidate will strongly desire to help others and possess excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills. You must be able to work as a key component of a strong and united team to deliver cohesive and effective support to our young people.
Previous experience in a similar role is required.

Posted salary is based on a 40 hour contract, overtime and sleep ins are not included. Overtime is paid at £14/hr and sleep ins are an additional £70 per sleep in.
