Salary: up to circa £55,000 per annum
Hours: Monday to Friday – 37.5 hours per week
Prince are happy to be supporting an established client based in the North Shropshire area, who currently have a fantastic opportunity to join their existing design team in a senior capacity. Due to company growth and exciting, upcoming projects, this business is looking to expand their design team and skillset by bringing in a Lead / Senior Design Engineer. The role will be hands on but you will also be supporting and leading a small team of Design Engineers.
Responsibilities
* Guiding, supporting and leading a small team of Design Engineers
* Supporting with the design of new and bespoke products in compliance with industry and client specifications
* Prepare and review 3D models, fabrication drawings and BOM’s using CAD software
* Ensure that the designs meet performance, safety and regulatory requirements
* Collaborate with internal manufacturing teams to optimise designs for manufacturability
* Perform engineering calculations
* Develop and maintain design documentation, data sheets and technical specifications
* Provide technical support through the manufacturing, inspection and testing phases
