Assistant Building Surveyor | Oxford | £32,000 – £38,000 | APC Support | Hybrid Working
Are you a Building Surveyor at the start of your career looking for a role in Oxford with genuine APC support and a clear route to chartership? We are recruiting on behalf of a well-established, RICS-regulated building consultancy based in Oxford with over 30 years in the industry.
The Opportunity
This is a junior building surveying role based in Oxford, joining a multi-disciplinary practice working across a broad range of sectors including commercial office, industrial, leisure, retail, education and R&D. With structured APC mentoring, hybrid working, and a salary of £32,000 – £38,000, this is one of the strongest opportunities for an early-career surveyor currently available in Oxford and the surrounding area.
What Makes This Role Stand Out
This is a practice that genuinely invests in its people — two of the firm's current Directors joined as trainee surveyors and worked their way up. Their APC pass rate is enviable, and the support on offer is structured and serious, not just a line on a job spec.
The Role
You will work across the full range of building surveying services alongside an experienced team of chartered surveyors. Day to day you can expect exposure to:
* Building surveys and condition reports
* Contract administration
* Project management
* Dilapidations
* CDM and Principal Designer services
Salary & Benefits
* £32,000 – £38,000 depending on experience
* Structured APC support with an enviable pass rate
* Hybrid working
* Employee Assistance Programme
* Regular CPD and training
* Social events and a collaborative team culture
* Clear progression pathway — up to Director level
What We're Looking For
* Relevant degree in Building Surveying or similar (RICS accredited preferred)
* Some prior experience desirable but not essential
* Motivated and keen to work towards MRICS chartership
* Based in or able to commute to Oxford
