* Hawkes Bay Fallen Soldiers Hospital, Te Ara Manapou - Maternal Mental Health and Addictions.
* Permanent, Part-time 48 hours per fortnight (0.6 FTE)

About the Role

As a Clinical Psychologist within Te Ara Manapou, you’ll provide safe, culturally responsive psychological care to mothers, parents, infants, and young children across the Hawkes Bay region. You’ll deliver comprehensive assessments, therapeutic interventions, and consultation within a multidisciplinary team, supporting tangata whaiora and their whānau on their journey to wellbeing.

This is a rewarding opportunity to work in a specialised maternal mental health setting, where you’ll contribute to service development, supervise other professionals, and uphold Te Tiriti o Waitangi in all aspects of care.


About the Team/Service/ Location

Te Ara Manapou is a dedicated maternal mental health and addiction service based in Hastings, supporting whānau across Hawkes Bay. The team works collaboratively with GPs, community agencies, and other health providers to deliver holistic, whānau‑centred care that reflects the values of Te Whatu Ora - Te Matau a Māui.

About you

As a Clinical Psychologist, you will bring:

* A Masters Degree in Psychology with a Diploma in Clinical Psychology (or Board‑approved overseas equivalent).
* Registration under the Health Practitioners Competence Assurance Act with a current practising certificate.
* Experience in adult mental health and addiction settings, ideally with mothers and young children.
* Knowledge of DBT or willingness to train in this modality.
* A commitment to Te Tiriti o Waitangi, equity, and culturally safe practice.
