We're working on behalf of our client, a well-established and growing organisation based in Alfreton, to recruit a talented and motivated
1st/2nd Line IT Support Technician
to join their internal IT team.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a solid foundation in IT support whos looking to develop their skills in a dynamic and supportive environment. Youll be the first point of contact for users across the business, troubleshooting and resolving a wide range of hardware, software, and network issues, escalating where necessary.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide 1st and 2nd line technical support to internal users (on-site and remote)
Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and network issues
Install, configure, and maintain IT equipment (PCs, laptops, printers, mobile devices)
Set up new users, manage accounts, and maintain Active Directory
Monitor and manage helpdesk tickets, ensuring timely resolution and escalation
Document support issues and solutions for knowledge base purposes
Requirements:
Previous experience in a 1st or 2nd line IT support role
Strong knowledge of Windows operating systems and Microsoft 365
Experience with Active Directory, networking fundamentals (DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP), and remote support tools
Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
A proactive and customer-focused approach
Full UK driving licence (due to potential travel between local sites)
