Role Overview The company is seeking a capable and detail-driven Estimator to join its commercial team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys producing detailed tender submissions, has solid technical knowledge, and wants to be part of a collaborative, close-knit team. Experience in heritage or complex refurbishment projects is highly desirable. Key Responsibilities * Quantify materials and labour requirements from technical drawings and site visits. * Prepare cost estimates for specialist-listed and heritage construction projects. * Obtain competitive quotes from subcontractors and suppliers. * Manage tender documentation and create detailed BOQs and cost schedules. * Attend site visits and contribute to pre-tender assessments and risk reviews. * Collaborate with project teams to align commercial strategies and ensure accurate handovers. * Support early-stage project delivery with ongoing commercial insight and analysis. Experience & Requirements * 2 years of estimating experience in the construction sector. * Background in heritage, listed buildings, or high-end refurbishments. * Strong technical knowledge of construction methods and cost structures. * Confident with Excel and estimating software (e.g. Bluebeam, Planswift, ConQuest). * Able to interpret architectural/structural drawings and specifications. * Detail-focused with strong written and verbal communication skills. * Commercially aware and proactive in identifying value engineering opportunities. Desirable Qualifications * HNC/HND or Degree in Quantity Surveying or Construction Management. * CSCS card. * Full UK Driving Licence.
